Vietnam International Travel Mart 2021 postponed due to COVID-19 threat
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Tourism Association have moved to postpone the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM Hanoi 2021) which had been scheduled for June amid unpredictable developments relating to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The association will therefore inform relevant agencies and participating exhibitors about the new time and venue at a later date, according to Vu The Binh, vice chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association.
This comes following the direction of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Culture and Sports due to the complicated nature of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic globally.
Previously, the Vietnam Tourism Association had hosted a press conference to unveil details of the VITM Hanoi 2021, stating that the event would take place from May 5 to May 8 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center.
Under the theme of "New normal, new opportunities", VITM Hanoi 2021 is anticipated to offer an opportunity for localities and tourism businesses to promote brands, introduce products, step up co-operation, and boost connectivity.
Furthermore, the fair also represents an ideal venue for tourists to directly choose tourism products and purchase tourism packages at reasonable prices.
Last year, the VITM Hanoi 2021 was postponed four times due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
