VITM 2020 promotes IT application in tourism services
VOV.VN - The Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2020 is set to run in Hanoi from November 18 to November 23 on the theme of "Vietnam Tourism - changing for development."
According to organisers, the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic has already caused the event to be postponed twice. Now with the pandemic brought under control, VITM 2020 is allowed to open the door for tour operators from estimated 25 countries to showcase their products and services to visitors.
Ahead of the event, the Vietnam Tourism Association expects VITM 2020 will provide opportunities for localities and travel agencies to promote their various products and services, focus focusing on domestic tourism, inbound tourism, and outbound tourism.
The COVID-19 pandemic also offers tour operators a chance to make changes in management, operation and product trading, especially with regard to the use of technology 4.0 in tourism activities.
For this year’s function, "Vietnam Tourism - changing for development" has been chosen to be the main topic.
The event seeks to stimulate and develop Vietnam’s tourism sector in the post – COVID-19 period.
