Vietjet launches Hanoi–Shizuoka direct route
VOV.VN - Japan’s Shizuoka Airport on April 29 welcomed the inaugural flight of Vietjet’s new direct service connecting Hanoi and Shizuoka, marking the first non-stop air link between the two destinations and further strengthening Vietnam–Japan air connectivity.
The new route underscores Vietjet’s continued expansion in the Japanese market, with three round-trip flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
Flights from Hanoi depart at 2:40 a.m. and arrive in Shizuoka at 9:30 a.m. (local time), while return flights leave Shizuoka at 10:30 a.m. and arrive in Hanoi at 2:00 p.m. the same day.
Shizuoka is known for its serene natural landscapes and iconic views of Mount Fuji, as well as its renowned matcha, scenic coastline, fresh seafood, and tranquil Japanese-style resorts. Meanwhile, Hanoi serves as Vietnam’s political, cultural, and tourism hub, offering a distinct appeal of its own.
The new Hanoi–Shizuoka route is expected to boost tourism, trade, and people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and Japan. It also raises Vietjet’s total number of direct routes between the two countries to 11, further expanding its regional network.
