Qatar Airways suspends 13 Vietnam routes as regional conflict disrupts airspace
VOV.VN - Qatar Airways has canceled 13 flights to and from Vietnam between March 3 and 1:00 pm on March 5 as tensions continue to disrupt airspace across parts of the Middle East, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).
The cancellations include eight flights at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and five at Noi Bai International Airport, affecting a total of 2,565 passengers, excluding infants.
To support impacted travelers, Qatar Airways announced it will waive change fees for departures rescheduled within 14 days of the original travel date. Passengers holding tickets valid between February 28 and March 10, 2026, may also request refunds for the unused portion of their tickets in accordance with airline regulations.
Due to a surge in inquiries, the airline has advised passengers with travel plans within the next 48 hours to contact customer service directly.
According to a representative of the carrier, travelers are encouraged to manage bookings and make changes via the airline’s official website or mobile app. Those who purchased tickets through travel agencies or third-party platforms should contact the original ticket issuer for assistance.
The CAAV also updated information on several Flight Information Regions (FIRs) affected by the conflict including Bahrain, Tehran, Doha Jordan, United Arab Emirates to assist citizens and tourists in planning their travel.
