Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026 highlights experiential travel
VOV.VN - A vibrant series of cultural and tourism activities will be launched during the Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026, scheduled to take place from late April.
The event, themed Ninh Binh – A journey of heritages through the ages, is expected to offer a wide range of immersive experiences, contributing to promoting the image of Ninh Binh as an attractive and sustainable destination for both domestic and international visitors.
The programme was introduced at an information conference held on April 17 by the provincial Department of Tourism, drawing around 1,000 participants. It aims to stimulate travel demand, enhance destination branding, and foster green, sustainable tourism development.
A highlight of the tourism week will be the opening ceremony, to be held at Dinh Tien Hoang Square in Hoa Lu ward, with the participation of approximately 1,000 local and foreign delegates. The opening will feature a large-scale music gala with around 200 artists and performers. The show will integrate LED technology, lighting, and modern projection techniques to create a multi-dimensional artistic space connecting the past and present.
A diverse range of cultural and tourism activities will take place throughout the tourism week. Notably, the Tam Coc Festival in late May will invite visitors to explore the picturesque ripening rice fields, combined with folk art performances along the scenic Ngo Dong River, including key stops such as Thanh Wharf, Ca Cave, Hai Cave, and Ba Cave.
Another highlight is the Trang An creative music festival (Forestival), running from April to May. It will feature multimedia art activities combining film, fine arts, and music, culminating in a large-scale performance at the renowned Bai Dinh spiritual tourism area on May 30, with the participation of prominent artists and singers.
The Vietnam Yosakoi Festival, slated for April 24-25, will take place at Tam Chuc tourist area, bringing together Vietnamese and Japanese art troupes in a vibrant cultural exchange that promotes friendship and shared energy.
Meanwhile, the Ninh Binh Beach Tourism Festival from April 28 to May 1 at Thinh Long beach resort will highlight tourism connectivity between mountainous, delta, and coastal regions.
Many sideline events will be organised including a photo tour of Tam Coc, famtrip and presstrip programmes to introduce new tourism products, an art photography exhibition about Ninh Binh.
Besides, performances of water puppetry, Cheo singing, Xam singing, and folk songs from all three regions of Vietnam will be held four times a day at tourist attractions; and cultural and artistic exchange activities will take place in the Tam Coc tourist area.
According to Bui Van Manh, director of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, tourism is not only about attracting visitors but also plays a vital role in driving local economic development. In recent years, sectors such as agriculture, cuisine, and traditional crafts have flourished alongside tourism, helping to increase product value and improve local livelihoods.
Ninh Binh will continue to expand its tourism space from heritage sites to the sea, communities, and traditional crafts, aiming to build a diverse, sustainable, and distinctive tourism ecosystem, he said.
