Ninh Binh promotes tourism through cinema and luxury wedding services
VOV.VN - Northern Ninh Binh province is stepping up efforts to promote itself as a premier destination for tourism, film production, and luxury weddings, according to an international conference held in the locality on November 18.
The event, jointly organised by the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, Xuan Truong Enterprise, and partners from India, one of Asia’s leading countries in film production and destination wedding services, highlighted the province’s strategic vision to attract international visitors and investors.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong emphasised that Vietnam’s diverse natural landscapes, ranging from forests and mountains to rivers, seas, and plains, combined with its rich historical and cultural values, provide ideal conditions for film production.
When these settings are paired with global cinematic expertise, including that of India’s thriving film industry, Vietnam can become the backdrop for many significant films, contributing both to cultural promotion and tourism development, he stressed.
He added that in the near future, film producers from the US, India, and other countries are expected to visit Vietnam, including Ninh Binh, to create new works, tap into international markets, and attract more foreign visitors.
Meanwhile, Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee, highlighted the province’s unique landscapes, layered heritage sites, strong cultural identity, and local traditions, which make it an attractive location for film projects, resort tourism, large-scale events, and luxury weddings.
He noted that Ninh Binh will continue refining its tourism development plans to facilitate collaborations with international film studios, investors, and enterprises. The province aims to promote its image through art and media while fostering an open investment environment to support creative, green, and sustainable tourism initiatives.
“We believe that connecting tourism, cinema, and high-end weddings will open new and highly promising avenues for enhancing heritage value, enriching visitor experiences, and driving local economic and cultural growth,” Tung said.
The conference also served as a platform to strengthen ties between Ninh Binh and international stakeholders, particularly India, a key market for tourism and luxury events, while supporting efforts to prepare UNESCO World Heritage nomination dossiers for the Tam Chuc Complex and Van Long Nature Reserve.
