Secret Garden MV blends with Ninh Binh heritage sites
VOV.VN - People’s Daily (Nhan Dan) Newspaper on February 6 released the music video "Song From A Secret Garden-Secret Garden in Vietnam," featuring performances by the renowned duo Secret Garden in Ninh Binh province, helping to showcase Vietnam’s cultural heritage, natural beauty and people to international audiences.
The MV is part of the international music project Good Morning Vietnam initiated by Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Vietnam. The project not only brings world-class music to Vietnam but also combines music video production with tourism promotion, while raising funds to charitable activities.
In October 2025, Norwegian-Irish musical duo Secret Garden performed in their first show in the country, at Hanoi’s National Convention Centre, attracting more than 3,000 spectators.
During the nearly two-hour performances, Secret Garden presented over 20 signature works marking their 30-year artistic journey, with Vietnamese cultural elements and landscapes subtly integrated into their globally renowned compositions.
Following the concerts, the artists travelled to Ninh Binh to film the MV. Set against the backdrop of Vietnam’s heritage landscapes, including Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, Cuc Phuong National Park and Bich Dong Pagoda, the video unfolds a poetic journey in which music and nature intertwine, creating a visual and emotional experience imbued with Secret Garden’s distinctive, myth-inspired aesthetic.
Addressing the February 6 launching event, Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, noted that the MV represents an important continuation of the Good Morning Vietnam project, in which world-class music is not limited to stage performances but becomes a cultural bridge bringing images of Vietnam’s landscapes, people and heritage values closer to the world.
Irish violinist Fionnuala Sherry said that performing outdoors rather than in an auditorium offers a special sensation, where music and scenery blend into a unified emotional experience. Composer-pianist Rolf Løvland added that Secret Garden’s music resonates naturally with the landscape of Ninh Binh, and being surrounded by nature while allowing it to become part of the music is a truly beautiful experience.
At the launching ceremony, the organising committee presented the MV "Song From A Secret Garden – Secret Garden in Vietnam" to the administration of Ninh Binh, tourism businesses, hotels, airlines, and television stations to spread this musical product and contribute to promoting Vietnamese culture and tourism to domestic and international audiences.
