Malaysian famtrip delegation to survey Khanh Hoa tourism

VOV.VN - Efforts to further promote tourism are set to be strengthened as the Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, in coordination with the Lam Dong Tourism Association, welcomes a Malaysian famtrip delegation to survey destinations, accommodation facilities, and tourism services in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong and the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, the association said on December 10.

The Malaysian famtrip group comprises 30 participants, including executives and business managers from travel companies affiliated with the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA). The delegation will spend three days surveying tourism products in Khanh Hoa.

Under the itinerary, following site visits in Lam Dong, the group will depart Da Lat for Phan Rang on December 12 to explore potential tourism attractions in the southern part of Khanh Hoa province. The programme offers Malaysian tourism operators opportunities to experience the region’s signature tourism products in the sun- and wind-swept coastal area, which holds strong potential for ecological tourism development, Cham cultural heritage exploration, and local cuisine.

The delegation will then continue its survey in the Bai Dai – Cam Lam area, focusing on the area’s prospects for high-end resort tourism development.

On December 14-15, it will visit major tourism sites in Nha Trang, including island tours in Nha Trang Bay, the national special relic of Po Nagar Cham Towers, I-Resort Hot Mineral Springs Park, and Champa Island. The programme will also feature meetings with Khanh Hoa tourism businesses and a networking gala dinner.

Nguyen Quang Thang, Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, said Malaysia is a promising source market with a large outbound travel volume, cultural similarities with Vietnam, and close geographical proximity. Currently, there are four weekly flights connecting Malaysia with Khanh Hoa, creating favourable conditions for attracting visitors from the country.

He noted that hosting the Malaysian famtrip delegation forms part of Khanh Hoa’s strategy to intensify international market promotion, laying the groundwork for breakthroughs in 2026 and subsequent years.
