Malaysia seeks to attract more Vietnamese tourists
VOV.VN - Vietnamese tourists keen to discover Malaysia will have the chance to enjoy a number of attractive travel packages following the launch of Malaysia Mega Sale 2024.
According to the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Department in Vietnam, the promotional programme will run from June 15 to July 31 with the ultimate aim of attracting more international tourists, including Vietnamese nationals, to Malaysia.
Vietnamese travelers will be able to grab special deals on travel packages, including 30% discounts on airfares and hotel bookings through its partners’ travel websites, such as Trip.com, Agoda.com, andTraveloka.com.
The Malaysian Tourism Promotion Department also revealed that Malaysia has set a target of welcoming 470,000 Vietnamese tourists this year.
Currently, there are more than 130 direct flights from Vietnam to Malaysia with over 23,400 seats on offer each week. The Malaysian side expects that this figure will increase to meet the increasing travel demand between the two countries.
Malaysia Airlines earlier announced its decision to open direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to the central beach city of Da Nang with a frequency of five flights a week.
