International tourist arrivals to Hanoi rise by 30% in February

VOV.VN - Hanoi served 496,450 foreign arrivals in February, marking a year-on-year increase of 29.6%, according to the capital’s Department of Tourism.

Meanwhile, the number of domestic visitors reached 1.89 million, up by 5.3% over the corresponding period last year.

Total revenue earned from tourism activities in February stood at an estimated VND9.22 trillion, up 14.5%.

In the opening two months of the year, the capital greeted 4.59 million visitors, including 1.05 million foreigners and 3.54 million domestic tourists, rising by 7.4%, 13%, and 5.8%, respectively.

Thanks to the growing number of tourists, Hanoi got VND18.25 billion from tourism services, an annual increase of 9%.

The capital, which is part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, has set a target of welcoming more than 30 million visitors in the year ahead, 11.1% higher than that of 2024.

In order to reach its goal, the city’s tourism industry aims to effectively implement solutions which will maintain its position as a major tourism hub, whilst continuing to cultivate an image of a safe and attractive destination.

Gift festival expected to promote Hanoi tourism

VOV.VN - A series of arts and cultural activities will be launched as part of the Hanoi tourism gift festival which is set to run from August 23 to August 25 in order to promote the capital’s image as an attractive and safe tourist destination.
