International arrivals to Phu Quoc jump 78.3% in five months
VOV.VN - Phu Quoc island city received over 775,000 foreign visitors in the first five months of 2025, a 78.3% increase year-on-year, according to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism.

Between January and May, the popular island destination attracted more than 3.5 million tourists in total, up 30.5% compared to the same period last year. Tourism revenue reached nearly VND18 trillion, up 87% and equivalent to 76.3% of the annual target.
Across Kien Giang province, total visitor numbers rose 26.9% to 5.6 million, including some 783,000 international travelers, a year-on-year increase of 76.9%. Provincial tourism revenue soared 109.8% to approximately VND24 trillion.
The largest sources of international tourists to Kien Giang remain Asian markets such as India, the Republic of Korea, China, and Cambodia.
The number of foreign arrivals is expected to continue rising sharply through the end of the year as more international flights are launched or reinstated following earlier disruptions.
