The event will feature an elaborate stage design combining lighting effects and modern visual mapping technology, along with performances involving hot air balloons and paragliding. Lasting around 100 minutes, the ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television’s VTV1 channel.

According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong, the event is a valuable opportunity for Hue to attract more visitors, promote its rich cultural heritage, and advance sustainable tourism development. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of Hue’s Department of Tourism, shared that a steering committee has been established to ensure well-prepared and seamless organization.

Throughout the year, a series of activities will take place, including a spring festival from January to March, a summer festival from April to June, an autumn festival from July to September, and a winter festival from October to December. The event will conclude with a New Year’s Eve countdown party on December 31 to welcome 2026.

As one of the most significant cultural and tourism events of the year, National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 coincides with the 50th anniversary of Hue’s liberation (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025) and other national celebrations. It serves as a platform to showcase Hue’s tangible and intangible cultural values while introducing unique tourism experiences to international visitors.
