HCM City’s tourism revenue hits over VND208 trillion in ten months

VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism revenue reached VND 208.066 trillion during the past ten months of 2025, up 22% compared with the same period in 2024, the city’s Department of Tourism reported on November 3.

In October 2025, the southern metropolis welcomed more than 705,000 international visitors.

Cumulatively, over the ten-month period, the City received more than 6.5 million international tourists, an increase of 17.7% year-on-year, while domestic arrivals exceeded 33 million.

The total tourism revenue over the ten month period reached VND 208.066 trillion, accounting for nearly 72% of the city’s 2025 target of VND 290 trillion.

According to the Department of Tourism, the city’s tourism sector maintained positive growth momentum in October amid preparations for peak year-end activities and large international delegations.

Ho Chi Minh City also strengthened market linkages and promotional activities in key markets, shifting from post-merger recovery to accelerated development, innovation, and professionalization of tourism products.

October 2025 also featured notable events that enriched the city’s tourism offerings, such as the Can Gio Nghinh Ong Folk Festival 2025, a cultural and spiritual tourism attraction for visitors.

With October’s growth, the city’s total international arrivals for the reviewed period surpassed 6.5 million, up 17.7% year-on-year, alongside over 33 million domestic tourists.

For the remaining two months of 2025, the southern city’s tourism sector expects international arrivals to increase by 40% for the year. With focus on beach tourism, industrial tourism, and cruise tourism, the city will continue to boost digital transformation and green practices across all management and operational processes in the tourism industry.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has 7,211 tourism service enterprises, including more than 1,800 travel agencies and nearly 5,340  accommodation establishments with 92,468 rooms and 9,540 tour guides.
