Hanoi sees 10% rise in tourist arrivals in July

VOV.VN - The capital city welcomed 2.8 million visitors in July, up 10.3% year-on-year, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.

The figure included 553,190 international arrivals, a 25.2% increase from the same period in 2024. Domestic visitors totaled 2.25 million, up 7.1% year-on-year.

Tourism revenue for the month was estimated at VND10.68 trillion, marking a 13.9% increase from a year earlier.

Between January and July, Hanoi received 18.36 million tourists, an 11.6% year-on-year rise, including 4.21 million foreign arrivals (up 22.3%) and 14.15 million domestic travelers (up 8.7%). Total revenue in the reviewed period reached approximately VND73 trillion, up 14.5% from last year.

The city currently has 3,761 accommodation facilities offering over 71,000 rooms, including 85 one-to five-star hotels and apartment complexes.

Dang Huong Giang, Director of the municipal Department of Tourism, said a broad array of events will take place in August to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

She added that Hanoi will also promote its culture and tourism offerings at the Osaka Expo, host a beverage festival, and take part in the ITB India global tourism trade fair.
