Ha Long Bay named among Top 15 must-see seaside views worldwide
VOV.VN - Ha Long Bay, the UNESCO-recognised natural heritage site in Quang Ninh province, has been named one of the Top 15 must-see seaside views in the world by leading digital entertainment publisher BoredPanda.

BoredPanda ranks the Vietnamese landmark fifth on the list. Located in the northeast of the country, Ha Long Bay is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, featuring more than 1,600 limestone towers and islets blanketed in lush tropical greenery. Often referred to as the “Pearl of the Tonkin Gulf,” the bay is celebrated for its unique ecosystems and extraordinary geological formations.
The bay has been twice been recognised as a World Natural Heritage site by UNESCO, both in 1994 and 2000, cementing its status as one of the world’s natural wonders.
Other destinations featured in BoredPanda’s Top 15 include Anse Source D'Argent in the Seychelles, Dubrovnik in Croatia, the Nā Pali Coast of Hawaii (USA), Praia Da Marinha in Portugal, and Norway’s Lofoten Islands. The list also highlights famous coastlines such as the Great Ocean Road (Australia), Hopewell Rocks (Canada), Zanzibar (Tanzania), Cap De Formentor (Spain), the Amalfi Coast (Italy), and the Turkish Riviera.
This recognition adds to Ha Long Bay’s growing list of international accolades. It was previously named by CNN as one of the 25 most beautiful places on Earth and by Fodor’s Travel as one of Southeast Asia’s Top 25 natural wonders. The South China Morning Post (SCMP) also included the bay among Asia’s most popular tourist attractions.
In addition to its scenic and cultural appeal, Ha Long Bay continues to attract global attention as it was chosen as one of the venues for the Clipper 2023-24 Round the World Yacht Race, an international sailing event that spans multiple countries.
