Emirates to resume flights to Dubai as of March 6
VOV.VN - After several days of disruption caused by escalating military tensions in the Middle East, Emirates Airlines of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has planned to restore some flights connecting Vietnam with Dubai, starting March 6.
According to aviation sources, flights between Hanoi and Dubai are expected to resume from the early hours of March 6 after five days of suspension due to airspace closures across several countries in the region.
In the previous days, many international flights connecting Vietnam with Middle East destinations had been suspended after several countries in the region imposed airspace restrictions due to military exchanges involving the United States, Israel and Iran. The disruptions affected thousands of passengers and forced airlines to cancel or adjust numerous flights.
During this period, airlines such as Emirates operated a limited number of special or recovery flights to transport stranded passengers, while most regular commercial services remained suspended.
Noi Bai International Airport earlier reported that flight EK394 operating the Dubai–Hanoi route arrived at noon on March 4, carrying 427 passengers. The flight mainly transported Vietnamese travelers who had been stranded in Dubai after days of flight cancellations in the Middle East.
As of March 5, Turkish Airlines has also operated normal passenger and cargo flights to Istanbul.
Meanwhile, Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways continue to cancel flights from Hanoi to Doha and Abu Dhabi.
