Da Nang ranks second among Asia’s best summer destinations: Lonely Planet

VOV.VN - World-renowned travel guide Lonely Planet has placed Da Nang city in central Vietnam second on its list of the nine best places in Asia to visit during June, July and August.

The guide described Da Nang as an outdoor lover’s paradise, whether visitors choose to relax on beaches such as My Khe and Non Nuoc or explore distinctive architecture at sites like the Dragon Bridge.

“The coastal city has a rich Cham history, which is explored at the Museum of Cham Sculpture. Modern amenities at appealing prices make Da Nang one of Southeast Asia’s most livable destinations, so expect your Vietnamese dong to stretch far, even in peak season,” Lonely Planet noted.

The guide added that summer in Vietnam calls for plenty of che0 a traditional sweet drink, dessert soup or pudding served cold, often with ice.

“Vietnamese iced coffee is another firm favorite,” the guide noted.

Other destinations on the list include Busan in the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Shimla in India, Bali in Indonesia, Almaty in Kazakhstan, Sendai in Japan, Chengdu in China and the Altai Mountains in Mongolia.
