Forum connects Vietnam and Czech Republic travel agents

According to organizers and travel agents, the two countries boast great potential for tourism cooperation. Vietnam has long coastlines, and many historic and cultural relics and landscapes including 8 tangible and 12 intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO.

Meanwhile the Czech Republic has an aged-old culture with many baroque-styled architectural structures which have remained intact since the 16th and 17th century and been recognized by UNESCO as world heritages.

Travel demand between the two countries is increasing. Currently, around 65,000 Vietnamese people are living and working in the Czech Republic, not to mention 200,000 former guest workers and students who want to revisit the country.

However, these advantages have not fully been tapped yet.

Ambassador to the Czech Republic Truong Manh Son said the forum helped tourism managers and travel agents overcome discrepancies in tourism exchange and accelerate tourism cooperation.

At the forum, businesses from two countries discussed the opening of direct air routes between Prague and Vietnam and facilitating the visa application process.

They have met their trade partners, introduced tourism products and set up cooperation plans in the coming time.
