The Vietnamese language class at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), introduced just in 2022, has already attracted nearly 100 foreign students, mainly Bruneians, under the instruction of Dr. Tran Trong Nghia.

A press briefing on the 2024 Vietnamese Language Appreciation Day and a gala to honour the language was held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (SCOV) in Hanoi on September 6.

The College of Asian Scholars (CAS) in the Thai northeastern province of Khon Kaen and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen launched a new Vietnamese studies centre in the college's campus on June 8.

The Vietnam-Germany Association in Schwaben region of Germany opened a Vietnamese language class in Augsburg city for young people from Vietnamese and Vietnamese-German families on May 27.

A ceremony was held on April 6 in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, to launch the Day for Honouring Vietnamese Language 2024.
