Vietjet on June 7 inaugurated a new route connecting Hanoi with the Australian port city of Sydney.

The first flight from Hanoi to Melbourne by Vietjet landed on June 4, marking the airline's sixth route connecting Vietnam and Australia.

During the summer peak season, Vietjet provides an additional 1.4 million tickets, equivalent to an increase of approximately 35% in domestic supply to serve people and tourists on flights from/to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Phu Yen, Phu Quoc, and Da Lat.

Vietjet opens two new routes connecting Taichung and Kaohsiung (Taiwan, China) with the Pearl Island of Phu Quoc in Vietnam, responding to the travel, discovery, and experience demands of the people and tourists.

Many airlines are operating with fewer aircraft than last year coming into the peak summer period as fleets have been reduced to service debt.

Viejet opened a direct air route linking Hanoi and Hiroshima on May 12, marking the first of its kind connecting Vietnam and the Japanese prefecture and the eighth of Vietjet between the two countries.

To meet the rising demands to visit Dien Bien of people and tourists during the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, Vietjet increased the frequencies of flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the northwestern province to 28 per week.

After two routes to Shanghai and Chengdu, Vietjet will open a direct route between Ho Chi Minh City and Xi'an (China) from April 29, becoming the airline flying directly from Vietnam to the ancient capital of Xi'an.
