Da Nang – Bangkok flight undergoes strict security checks due to bomb threat

VOV.VN - A Thai Vietjet flight from Da Nang to Bangkok underwent strict security checks on September 26 after a passenger spread a bomb threat on the plane.

The crew received the information when the Thai Vietjet flight VZ961, a subsidiary of Vietjet Air, was en route from Da Nang to Bangkok, Thailand. They implemented emergency safety measures and notified the security agency at the destination airport.

As soon as the aircraft landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 2:22p.m. the same day, relevant forces carried out thorough security checks for passengers and luggage.

According to the police, the aircraft carried 121 passengers, including one infant and six crew members.

After the inspection, airport security forces found that the bomb threat turned out to be a hoax, and the passenger who spread the false information was handed over to authorities for further action.

Airport security forces conducted an additional security check of the aircraft to ensure maximum safety. After confirming there was no threat, the emergency response plan at Suvarnabhumi Airport was lifted at 4:31p.m. the same day.
