President of the Vietnam Fatherland (VFF) Central Committee Do Van Chien on September 20 received support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic missions, and foreign enterprises to people affected by recent Typhoon Yagi and its subsequent floods in some northern localities.

Dr. Kambiz Ghawami, President of the World University Service (WUS) Germany, has presented 18 water filters - Portable Aqua Unit for Live Saving (PAUL) - to the Vietnamese localities affected by Typhoon Yagi and Storm Soulik.

The Ha Long Bay Management Board in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh, in coordination with units, launched a three-day cleanup campaign for Ha Long Bay on September 15 in order to restore environmental sanitation to the heritage site to serve tourism right after Typhoon Yagi.

Several private and State-owned banks have reduced interest rates and offered debt relief for customers affected by Typhoon Yagi.
