The 11-month state budget revenue is estimated at nearly VND1.64 quadrillion (US$67 billion), equivalent to 116.1% of the target and up 17.4% from a year earlier, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) announced on December 1.
The total State budget collection in the first eight months of this year has been estimated at VND1.2 quadrillion (US$51.3 billion), equivalent to 85.6% of the annual target, according to the Ministry of Finance.
Total state budget collection in the first ten months of 2021 fulfilled about 90.9% of the estimate and was up 5.5% year-on-year, showed data released by the Ministry of Finance’s Department of State Budget.
Hanoi’s economy still expanded despite impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, with its gross regional domestic product (GRDP) up 5.91% in the six months of 2021, higher than 3.39% recorded in the same period last year, said Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Hong Son.
State budget revenues managed by tax agencies reached VND562.36 trillion (US$24.48 billion) in the first five months of 2021, equivalent to 50.4% of the yearly estimate and up 11.9% year-on-year.
State budget collections in Ho Chi Minh City in January were estimated at VND42.47 trillion (US$1.84 billion), 11.6% of the estimate and up 2.9% year-on-year, according to the municipal Statistics Office.
Total import-export turnover through border gates of northern Lao Cai province, which borders China, reached nearly US$1.7 billion in 2020, equal to 94% of the previous year.
Total State budget collection in the first ten months of this year was estimated at VND1.13 quadrillion (US$48.7 billion), or 75.2% of the annual estimate and down 10.3% year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Finance.
State budget collection is expected to rise 1.5% over 2020, according to a Government report on State budget estimate for 2021, which is being put on discussion before being submitted to the National Assembly.
