A conference to promote cooperation between six Vietnamese localities and four southern provinces of Laos has been held in Pakse, the Lao province of Champasak.

Vietnam's Ministry of National Defence and the National Council of the Solidarity Front for Development of the Cambodian Motherland (SFDCM) convened an official session in Ho Chi Minh City on August 23 to review outcomes of upgrading and repairing Vietnam-Cambodia friendship monuments.

A total of 95,079 people participated in an online quiz on the history of the special Vietnam-Laos relations in its 10th week from August 15 to 22.

There has been dynamic and lively cultural exchange and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos over recent years, contributing to the development of each country in the new period, according to Lao Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Suansavanh Viyaketh.
