A wide range of activities took place in Larmor-Plage city of France’s Morbihan department of Brittany from June 30 to July 2 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam - France diplomatic relations and 10 years of the two countries’ strategic partnership.

The annual “Xuan Que Huong” (Homeland Spring), the biggest external and cultural event held for overseas Vietnamese (OVs) on the occasion of the Lunar New Year festival, will take place in Hanoi on January 14, with about 3,000 people taking part, including 1,000 OVs.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Quang Hieu suggested increasing comprehensive, long-term measures to support overseas Vietnamese, especially those in extremely disadvantaged areas, while addressing a thematic conference in Hanoi on November 29.
