Professor Toshiro Nishizawa of the University of Tokyo has hailed Vietnam’s people-centred development approach, reflected in social security policies such as tuition fee reductions and healthcare support for disadvantaged groups.
Prof. Shimizu from Japan’s Osaka University has highlighted the historical significance of the August Revolution and the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945, noting that the ability of a small nation to achieve independence from Western powers provided great hope, courage to oppressed peoples.
