VOV.VN - Vietnamese border authorities in the northern province of Lao Cai have opened a criminal investigation into the alleged organisation of illegal stays by foreign nationals after several Chinese citizens were found without valid entry documents, officials said on January 21.

VOV.VN - Border guard units in collaboration with the Tay Ninh Provincial Police have received 45 citizens deported by Cambodian authorities for illegal residence.

The People’s Procuracy of Ho Chi Minh City said on May 8 that it approved decisions to prosecute and detain two Vietnamese citizens for arranging illegal stay for foreigners in Vietnam.

More than 1,400 Vietnamese guest workers in the Republic of Korea (RoK) are set to lose their deposit of VND100 million (US$4,239) each due to fleeing from their workplace or attempting to illegally stay in the country.
