VOV.VN - Vietnam has called on China to respect its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands and comply with international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), following China’s unilateral fishing ban in parts of the East Sea.
China’s seasonal fishing ban in certain areas of the East Sea is invalid as it violates Vietnam’s sovereignty, sovereign rights, jurisdiction and interests in the sea, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
VOV.VN - Vietnam's stance on China's fishing ban in the East Sea remains consistent and has been clearly asserted over the past years.
