VOV.VN - The General Administration of Customs of China has just approved 27 more durian growing area codes for export in Vietnam’s southern Binh Phuoc province.

Vietnam is striving to further assert its durian export position and join the billion-dollar export industry with the current advantages in hand, coupled with efforts to better the fruit quality. The country is working hard to tap the potential and expand global reach for the sector.

VOV.VN - Vietnamese durians exported to the European Union will be subject to inspection for excessive pesticide residue at EU borders with a frequency of 10% under the bloc’s new regulations, according to the Vietnam Trade Office in Belgium and the EU.

An additional 99 aquaculture establishments were licensed to export to the Republic of Korea (RoK), the European Union, China, the US and Russia in 2023, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s National Authority for Agro-Forestry-Fishery Quality, Processing and Market Development (NAFIQPM).

More than 255 tonnes of durian were exported to China via border gates in the northern province of Lao Cai in the first three days of 2024, earning nearly US$1 million, according to Lao Cai Border Gate Customs Office.
