The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has recently approved a scheme for tax reform until 2030, under which taxes on land and housing will be raised.
Vietnam will study the imposition of a tax on homeowners and increase taxes on land to prevent speculation and increase the land-use efficiency, as part of a comprehensive tax reform strategy for 2030 which was approved on April 23.
Vietnam has officially become the 99th member of the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI).
