Six laws passed by the Vietnamese National Assembly in late 2025 entered into force on March 1, including the Law on Artificial Intelligence, the Law on Oversight Activities of National Assembly and People’s Councils, the Law on Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy, the Law on Investment, and the Law on Planning.
The Presidential Office on January 6 held a press conference to announce the State President’s orders promulgating 12 laws passed at the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly.
Ten laws will come into effect from January 1, 2025, including the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; the Law on Roads; the Capital Law; the Law on Public Investment; and the revised Law on Organisation of People's Courts.
New laws must help address limitations and remove obstacles of previous laws, fill legal gaps, and ensure consistency among relevant laws, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stressed while addressing the Government’s November meeting on law making on November 18.
