VOV.VN - Dong Nai province in southern Vietnam on December 20 held a solemn memorial and reburial ceremony for the remains of 41 fallen soldiers, including 31 who died during wartime in Cambodia.

A memorial ceremony to honour martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives for independence and freedom of the nation and noble international duties took place at the Duc Co Martyrs’ Cemetery in the central province of Gia Lai on July 22.

A ceremony to hand over the remains of 156 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Cambodia was held at the Binh Hiep International Border Gate in Binh Hiep commune, the southern province of Tay Ninh, on July 18.

Buddhist monks, nuns, and followers and residents can pay tribute to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who breathed his last on July 19, at pagodas and monasteries on July 25 and 26, the same time when respect-paying and memorial ceremonies are held for the leader.

A memorial ceremony and a reburial service was held in the central province of Ha Tinh on May 23 to pay final respects and rebury the remains of 10 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Laos.
