VOV.VN - More than 700,000 Vietnamese workers are currently employed abroad under contract, earning stable incomes and sending significant remittances worth approximately US$3.5–4 billion per year to the homeland, said the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs (MOLISA).
Vietnam sent more than 78,000 labourers to work abroad so far this year, with Japan receiving the largest number, according to the Department of Overseas Labour under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

A conference was held in Hanoi on August 24 to review the 10-year implementation of a Directive of the 11th-tenure Party Central Committee's Secretariat on strengthening Party leadership on sending Vietnamese workers and experts to work abroad.
