VOV.VN - All preparations for the 2025 UN Day of Vesak in Ho Chi Minh City from May 6 - 8 will be completed before April 28, a senior patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha said at a press briefing on April 11.

The International Council for the Day of Vesak (ICDV) and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) convened their second meeting in Ho Chi Minh City on February 26 to discuss preparations for the United Nations Day of Vesak 2025 (UNDV).

Prof. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, Sri Lanka's Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, received Vietnamese Ambassador Trinh Thi Tam on February 13.

The United Nations Day of Vesak 2025 in Vietnam is expected to attract around 2,000 participants, including 1,000 international delegates from 80 countries.
