Vietnamese boxers shine in WBO Oriental Youth Title fights
VOV.VN -Vietnamese boxers Nguyen Tran Thu Nhi and Tran Van Thao both enjoyed victory in their WBO Oriental Youth Title bouts at the Cocky Buffalo Gym in Ho Chi Minh City on November 3.

The victory represents Nhi’s third victory this year following her significant win against three-time world champion Gretchen Abaniel of Brazil in 2018.
Elsewhere, Tran Van Thao, the first Vietnamese fighter to win a World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia title, was up against world No.74 Ponciano Remandiman of the Philippines.

Thao put in an impressive performance, with all three judges giving the Vietnamese fighter the win over his Filipino rival after six rounds.
This year’s championship has seen the participation of a number of talented Vietnamese boxers, including Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi, Sam Minh Phat, Tran Duc Loc, and Dinh Hong Quan. The local fighters took on boxers from the Republic of Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, and Uzbekistan.
