Female boxers into semifinals of World Boxing Championships
VOV.VN -Nguyen Thi Tam and Nguyen Thi Huong, two talented Vietnamese boxers, have enjoyed a wonderful day at the ongoing 2019 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships as they both successfully made it into the semifinal round of the event in Ulan-Ude, Russia.

Previously, in the first round of the 51 kg category, Nguyen Thi Tam recorded a 4-1 victory over Natalia Rok of Poland. She continued her good form with a 5-0 win over Lutsaikhan of Mongolia. Moving onto the quarterfinals, the Vietnamese boxer enjoyed a 3-2 victory over Aetbaeva Liliya from host-nation Russian to book her ticket to the semifinals.

Elsewhere in the 81 kg category, underdog Nguyen Thi Huong upset the odds as she beat Graham Dixon Krystal of the United States to make it to the tournament’s semifinals.
