Van Phuong bows out of Wimbledon Juniors’ boy’s singles
VOV.VN -Young Vietnamese tennis player Nguyen Van Phuong, ranked as the world junior’s No.64, suffered elimination from the Grand Slam boy’s singles event at Wimbledon on July 8.

The Vietnamese player lost out to Nakashima Brandon 0-6 in the opening set. The second set however saw Phuong turn the tide of the match as he was able to hold the US player to a draw with a score of 6-6. Despite the fight back, he was finally beaten on a tie-break.
In the doubles’ event, Van Phuong will pair up with Kevin Chahoud of Sweden to face off against Paulson of the Philippines and Vanshelboim of Ukraine in the first round.
