The squad primarily consist of players from Da Nang FC, the reigning champions of the Vietnam National Beach Soccer Championship. They, alongside Khanh Hoa, have been the most successful in the tournament’s history since 2009.

Among the 20 players called up, several have gained extensive beach soccer experience, including Tran Kim Trung (top scorer of the 2024 National Championship), Tran Ngoc Bao (best player of the 2024 National Championship), Tran Vinh Phong, Nguyen Anh Quang, Le Quy Long Vy, Phan Dat, and Ho Quoc Hung. They are familiar faces in the national team setup.

The team will train in Da Nang starting February 25. Before departing for the tournament, the final 12-player roster will be announced in accordance with competition regulations.

The 2025 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup will take place from March 20 to 30 at Jomtien Beach Soccer Stadium in Pattaya, Thailand.

This year’s championship features 16 teams divided into four groups of four. Vietnam have been drawn into Group D alongside Oman, Bahrain, and Malaysia. It is a challenging group, as Oman and Bahrain are among Asia’s top beach soccer teams, while Malaysia have reached the quarterfinals twice in the last four editions.

The group stage will follow a single round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. The top three teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
