Vietnam tops medal tally at Ju-Jitsu World Cup Beach 2024

VOV.VN - Local athletes dominated the Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) World Cup Beach 2024, securing a total of 22 gold, 15 silver, and 13 bronze medals, thereby placing them at the top of the medal table.

Among the outstanding players was SEA Games champion Dao Hong Son who won a gold medal in the Newaza Nogi category. This therefore marks the third consecutive time that the local martial artist has bagged a gold medal whilst competing in the tournament.

Elsewhere, Vietnamese fighter Phung Thi Hue took a gold medal in the women’s 45kg category.

The JJIF World Cup Beach 2024 was organised in Thailand from September 26 to September 29. The hosts Thailand ranked second and Palestine was placed in third position in the medal table.
