VOV.VN - Vietnam will host the Pickleball World Cup 2026 in Da Nang from August 30 to September 6, marking the first time the global tournament is held in Asia.
The event is seen as a major milestone in the development of pickleball worldwide and highlights the sport’s rapidly growing popularity across Asia. Vietnam’s selection as host reflects the country’s rising profile in the international sports landscape.
According to official sources, the Pickleball World Cup 2026 is among the largest tournaments in the sport, expected to attract top players and national teams from around the world. Hundreds of matches will take place throughout the week-long competition and will be broadcast globally.
Pickleball has seen strong growth in Vietnam and the region in recent years, supported by tournaments under the PPA Tour Asia circuit, including the MB Vietnam Cup held in Da Nang in 2025, which drew nearly 600 players.
Notably, the event was recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s most attended live pickleball event, with over 7,900 spectators, helping position Vietnam as an emerging hub for major international sporting events.
Hosting the Pickleball World Cup 2026 is expected to create new opportunities for Asian athletes to compete at the highest level while boosting sports development, tourism, and Vietnam’s global visibility.
