The launch marks a new milestone for pickleball in Vietnam, with the Vietnam Pickleball Awards 2025 becoming the country’s first nationwide awards scheme dedicated to honouring the pickleball community and supporting the sport’s move towards greater professionalism.

The event was organised by PWC Pickleball and Vinama JSC, bringing together representatives from federations, clubs, leading athletes and the media. The awards are designed as an annual programme with transparent criteria and professional standards, recognising substantive contributions made throughout the year.

Unlike awards focused solely on competitive results, the Vietnam Pickleball Awards takes a comprehensive approach, extending recognition across the entire pickleball ecosystem. Award categories cover athletes, clubs, tournament organisers, grassroots initiatives and individuals with positive influence on the sport’s development.

Doan Ngoc Minh, Head of the Organising Committee and CEO and founder of PWC Pickleball, said the awards were established to properly acknowledge sustained and often behind-the-scenes efforts within the community. He expressed hope that the programme would become an important milestone contributing to the development of a sustainable, transparent and inclusive grassroots sports ecosystem.

Held under the theme “A year of dedication, a moment of recognition,” the Vietnam Pickleball Awards 2025 is expected to generate broad media interest and help consolidate pickleball’s position within Vietnam’s contemporary sports landscape.

A representative of Vinama JSC, the co-organiser, highlighted the role of the awards in elevating the profile of pickleball in Vietnam, noting that the sport has reached a stage where a professionally organised recognition platform with a long-term orientation is needed.

PWC Pickleball is Vietnam’s first professional media ecosystem dedicated exclusively to pickleball, with more than one million followers, around 600,000 community members and over 50 million monthly digital impressions. The organisation aims to foster a sustainable and well-structured community for athletes, coaches, players and enthusiasts, while also serving as a bridge for cooperation with domestic and international brands as a contribution to the sport’s regional development.
