Local refs to take charge of 2023 AFC Women's Club Championship
VOV.VN - The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has named a Vietnamese female referee supervisor, along with two local female referees, to take charge of several group games at the 2023 AFC Women's Club Championships, which will take place from November 6 to November 12 in Chonburi of Thailand.
According to the schedule, Mai Hoang Trang will be one of two referee supervisors for Group A matches, while referee Le Thi Ly and assistant referee Ha Thi Phuong will also officiate the upcoming clashes in the group.
Group A will consist of four teams, namely Urawa Red Diamonds FC of Japan, Gokulam Kerala FC of India, Hualien Chinese FC of Tapei (China), and Bangkok FC of Thailand.
The three female referees, assistant referees, and supervisor have been regularly selected by AFC to manage games at official tournaments.
The Vietnam Football Federation Referee Committee on October 16 also conducted annual physical fitness tests for female referees and futsal referees.
They all passed and are now ready for the new season, including the 2023 National Women's Football Championship which is scheduled to take place in November.
