VOV, Guangxi Radio and Television Bureau increase cooperation
VOV.VN - Voice of Vietnam (VOV) Vice President Ngo Minh Hien on July 17 received a Chinese delegation from the Radio and Television Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China to discuss future cooperation plans between the two broadcasters.

The Guangxi officials are in Hanoi for the Vietnam-China friendship singing 2025 to be co-hosted by the Voice of Vietnam and the Radio and Television Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on July 18.
At the meeting, Hien welcomed the Guangxi delegation and emphasised that VOV values its strong and fruitful cooperation with Chinese media, reflected in numerous joint radio and television productions that have helped strengthen mutual understanding and the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
He noted that the Friendship Singing programme is a major highlight in the series of activities celebrating the 75th anniversary of bilateral ties and the 2025 Year of Vietnam – China Humanistic Exchange between the two countries.
The show, which will feature high-quality artistic performances from both countries, is expected to be attended by senior leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State, he revealed.
For his part, Huang Zhiheng, deputy director of the Radio and Television Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, praised the partnership with VOV, describing it as a key media ally. He acknowledged the significant impact of past cooperation in broadcasting and expressed confidence that the July 18 programme would further enhance mutual ties, thanks to the active support of VOV.
The Vietnam–China Friendship Singing programme, now in its 18th edition, has attracted a wide range of young singers from both countries and drawn millions of viewers, symbolising the positive development in Vietnam-China relations. Both sides acknowledged their strong foundation in broadcasting collaboration and expressed hope for more effective partnerships in content production, technical innovation, and professional exchanges.
VOV vice President Ngo Minh Hien added that in the near future, VOV plans to organise delegation visits not only for its own reporters but also for major Vietnamese media outlets to Guangxi and Sichuan, with the goal of expanding cooperation, exchanging expertise, and providing a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of the bilateral relationship to the people of both countries.
