VOV and Mexican broadcasting agency boost cooperation
VOV.VN - Voice of Vietnam, Radio (VOV) and major media agencies of Mexico have discussed media and journalism practices and explored the potential for future cooperation during VOV Vice President Ngo Minh Hien’s ongoing working trip to Mexico.

Meeting with Mouris Salloum George, president of Mexico's Club of Journalists, Hien introduced VOV as one of Vietnam’s three key national media agencies, with extensive national and international coverage. Notably, VOV broadcasts in 13 foreign languages, offering programmes that promote Vietnamese culture and people to the global audience, including Mexico.
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam–Mexico diplomatic relations this year, Hien shared VOV’s plan to air Mexican music programmes - a meaningful activity to deepen the cultural connection between the two countries.
George, for his part, expressed admiration for Vietnam’s rapid development and affirmed that Mexican media could collaborate with VOV to promote the image of both nations through content sharing and joint initiatives.
In a separate meeting with Jenaro Vilamin, director of Radio Mexico International, part of Mexican Radio Institute (IMER), Hien praised Mexico’s radio broadcasting system, especially its focus on social affairs. He also expressed optimism about future cooperation between VOV and the Institute.
Vilamin confirmed that his agency is ready to cooperate with VOV, especially through 30-minute music and cultural promotion programmes.
In response, Hien welcomed this initiative and stressed that VOV would work to formalise the cooperationsoon.
Both parties agreed to exchange detailed terms to produce programmes tailored to the interests of both Vietnamese and Mexican audiences, thereby strengthening the bilateral relationship.
