VOV enhances cooperation Venezuela media partners
VOV.VN - Voice of Vietnam Radio (VOV) and major media agencies of Venezuela will exchange and co-produce radio and television programs, as well as digital contents, to provide accurate, lively and up-to-date information about the land, people and cultural identities of both countries to their audiences.
Both sides will also increase cooperation in the field of journalism training to support their exchange programs.
The agreement was reached during recent working sessions in Caracas between VOV officials and leaders of National Radio of Venezuela, Telesur (a Latin American multimedia platform for people in the South), and Oyeven Radio that airs a weekly program about Vietnam.
At these meetings, VOV Vice President Ngo Minh Hien briefed their hosts on VOV’s significant development over its 79 years of establishment, saying the broadcaster is a major media organization in Vietnam that offers all four genres of journalism and a range of digital applications and platforms.
VOV continuously expands international cooperation to provide accurate and official information from around the world to domestic audience, and to promote Vietnam’s country and people through radio, television, and digital media in partner countries, said Hien.
During a live radio broadcast at the headquarters of National Radio of Venezuela, Hien affirmed that enhancing cooperation with Venezuela, a country that provided valuable support to Vietnam’s struggle for national liberation, is a key priority in VOV’s cooperation strategy. He delivered VOV’s commitment to implementing specific and practical cooperation initiatives in the near future.
For his part, Isbemar Jiménez, the Deputy Minister of Communications and Information and President of National Radio of Venezuela, extended heartfelt condolences to Vietnamese people over significant losses caused by Typhoon Yagi.
Both sides discussed and agreed on a framework cooperation agreement to be signed in the coming time, which they said would lay a solid foundation for achieving breakthrough results in their cooperation.
Receiving the VOV delegation, Patricia Villesas, president of Telesur, praised the significant development of VOV and expressed a desire to enhance the exchange of programs, as well as to collaborate on developing television content across digital platforms.
She showed particular interest in the high-quality television products from VTC Digital Television, an arm of VOV, and hoped to sign a cooperation agreement with VOV soon to implement specific joint initiatives.
While staying in Caracas, the VOV delegation also met with the manager of the Vietnamese Cultural Space program, which is broadcast weekly on Oyeven Radio. They proposed co-producing a program to celebrate the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Venezuela this December.
