Vietnamese students shine at 2025 Asian Chemistry Olympiad with 9 medals
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese delegation to the 2025 Asian Chemistry Olympiad (AChO), consisting of 17 students, achieved outstanding results with 5 gold medals and 4 silver medals.
The 2025 AChO, organized by the Organizing Center for STEM Olympiad (OCSO), aims to develop 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and computational thinking through competitions and Olympiad exams.
The 2025 competition saw participation from 17 countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Romania, Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong (China), Venezuela, Guatemala, and others. A total of 105 students, selected through national rounds, participated in the international round held in Bali, Indonesia from January 9 to January 12.
After two intense rounds of testing, the Vietnamese students earned impressive achievements, including 1 winner (champion), 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 8 bronze medals.
These results showcase the intellectual prowess of Vietnamese students at international chemistry competitions and contribute to promoting the study and research of chemistry at the high school level.
