Vietnam wins big at International Applied Chemistry Olympiad

VOV.VN - Three local students claimed two golds and one silver medal at the International Applied Chemistry Olympiad (IAChO), which has recently been taking place in Bandung of Indonesia.

This comes after the nation sent three outstanding students from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, who successfully achieved high results in the two qualifying rounds, to participate in the competition.

The gold medals went to La Chau Giang, a 12th grader, and Nguyen Minh Phuong, a 11th grader.

Meanwhile, 11th grader Pham Minh Quan bagged the silver medal.

Held annually by the Indonesia Regional Science Association (IRSA), IAChO aims to enhance students’ capacity in science, with a specific focus on chemistry.
