Vietnam and Belarus boost broadcasting cooperation

VOV.VN - Voice of Vietnam Radio (VOV) and National State Teleradio Company of Belarus (BTRC) have signed a cooperation document during Party General Secretary To Lam’s state visit to Belarus.

The document was signed in Minsk on May 12 by VOV President Do Tien Sy and BTRC Director General and Chair Ivan Eismont in the presence of Party General Secretary To Lam and President Alexander Lukashenko.

Under the signed document, the two broadcasters will enhance the exchange of radio programmes and digital content, co-produce programmes, share media data, organise professional training courses, and exchange working delegations.

It provides a foundation for both sides to gradually implement practical cooperation activities that meet the needs of each party in the near future.

Notably, copyright content programmes that introduce the country, people, culture, music, tourism, and cooperative achievements of Belarus and Vietnam will be exchanged and broadcast by VOV and BTRC to improve promotion and public awareness in both countries.

To date, VOV has officially established cooperative relations with more than 30 major national media organisations in the region and globally. The cooperation with BTRC is part of VOV’s strategy to expand its media partnership network with countries that share traditional and strong cooperative ties with Vietnam, particularly in Eastern Europe.
