Two foreign suspects arrested in fatal Ho Chi Minh City shooting
VOV.VN - Vietnamese police have arrested two foreign nationals linked to a fatal shooting in Ho Chi Minh City that left one foreigner dead and another injured.
The shooting occurred on the evening of May 21 on a sidewalk in Ben Thanh ward, where two foreign nationals were shot, leaving one dead at the scene and another injured.
According to investigators, the two suspects fled immediately after the attack. They took a taxi toward Tay Ninh province, reportedly getting out near the Co.opmart supermarket area in Trang Bang before disappearing from sight.
Immediately after the incident, Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinated with investigative units under the Ministry of Public Security to launch an urgent manhunt.
Police in Trang Bang ward also issued a public notice seeking the two foreign suspects, describing them as particularly dangerous individuals.
The two suspects were identified as Lang Kenny Trong Minh Do, born in 1993 and described as an Australian Vietnamese national, and White Justin John, born in 1987 and holding Australian citizenship.
Using investigative and tracking measures, authorities located and arrested both suspects.
Police have not yet disclosed the motive behind the shooting or further details related to the case, saying the investigation remains ongoing due to the involvement of foreign nationals.
