Two arrested for trafficking drugs from Laos
VOV.VN - The police of Hai Chau district in central Da Nang city said on August 6 that they have arrested two Vietnamese men for trafficking a huge amount of drugs from Laos.
According to the police, Pham Tien Dat, 30, from Da Nang city, and Tran Kim Hoan, 52, from Nghe Anprovince, colluded with some people in Laos to form an illegal drug trafficking network running from Laos to Vietnam.
On June 6, the police caught red handed Hoan carrying one kg of ketamine and 2,110 ecstasy pills.
At the police station, the suspect confessed that he had been hired by an unknown Lao national to illegally transport the drugs into Vietnam for VND20 million.
From Hoan’s testimony, the police on August 5 caught Dat bringing drugs from Laos to the locality for sales.
The case is currently under further investigation.
